1. Who we are and what these Terms cover

AmoreLetters ("we", "us", "our") is a daily email subscription service for couples, operated by DIGITLESS, a sole proprietorship registered in Italy with VAT number IT17049331006. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the AmoreLetters service available at amoreletters.com (the "Service").

By creating an account, subscribing, or using the Service in any way, you ("you", "your") and your partner agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not accept these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms are written in English and are governed by Italian law. For consumers resident in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom, mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of habitual residence apply.

2. What the Service is

The Service consists of:

  • One short literary letter delivered by email each day, written for both partners in a couple
  • Access to your account dashboard at amoreletters.com to manage subscription, partner email, preferences
  • Optional bonus content (PDF guide, occasional materials) included with active subscription
  • Customer support by email

The Service is informational and inspirational in nature. It is not a substitute for professional psychological, therapeutic, medical, or legal advice. AmoreLetters does not provide couples therapy, counselling, mental health treatment, or crisis intervention.

If you are in a relationship crisis involving abuse, addiction, severe mental health concerns, or thoughts of self-harm, please seek qualified professional help immediately.

3. Eligibility

To use the Service, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information for both partners
  • Confirm that your partner consents to receive the daily emails at the email address you provide for them

The Service is intended for two adults in a romantic relationship of any kind. We do not verify the nature of the relationship beyond your representation.

4. Account registration and partner consent

When subscribing, you must provide:

  • Your own email address
  • The email address of your partner
  • Basic information requested in the onboarding (names, optional details)

By submitting your partner's email, you confirm that you have your partner's explicit consent to receive daily emails from AmoreLetters at that address. Each partner will receive a welcome email with a clear option to unsubscribe at any time.

If either partner unsubscribes, the shared subscription continues for the remaining partner only as a single-recipient version, unless the subscription is cancelled by the account holder.

5. Free trial

We offer a 14-day free trial to new subscribers. During the trial:

  • No payment is required and no credit card details are taken at signup
  • You will receive a daily letter for 14 days
  • 3 days before the trial ends, we send a reminder email asking whether you want to continue
  • If you confirm and provide payment details, the subscription starts at €19.00/month
  • If you do not confirm, the trial ends and no charges are made

6. Subscription, pricing and payment

Prices:

  • Monthly subscription: €19.00 / month (incl. VAT where applicable)
  • Annual subscription: €144.00 / year (equivalent to €12.00 / month — 37% saving)
  • Gift subscription: equivalent monthly or annual pricing, gifted to another couple

All prices are displayed in Euros. For customers in the United Kingdom, payment is processed in GBP at the prevailing exchange rate at the time of payment. Applicable VAT/sales tax is added at checkout in accordance with local rules.

Payment processor: Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. (Ireland) and/or PayPal (S.à r.l. & Cie, S.C.A. Luxembourg). We do not store your full card details on our systems; only a token reference and the last 4 digits of the card.

Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled. You will receive a reminder email 3 days before each renewal.

Failed payment: if a payment fails, we will retry up to 3 times over 7 days. If payment cannot be collected, the subscription is suspended and access to daily letters paused until payment is restored.

7. Cancellation and refunds

Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard with a single click, no questions asked. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period; you continue to receive letters until then.

Right of withdrawal (EU consumers): Under Directive 2011/83/EU you have 14 days from the date of subscription to withdraw without reason. As the Service is a digital content delivered immediately upon subscription, by accepting these Terms and starting the service you expressly waive the right of withdrawal in exchange for immediate access. However, we voluntarily extend a 30-day satisfaction guarantee beyond consumer protection rules: if within 30 days of your first paid charge you are not satisfied, write to refund@amoreletters.com and we will refund the most recent monthly payment, no questions asked. Annual subscriptions are refunded pro-rata for the unused months minus an administrative fee of €15.

UK consumers: The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 grant equivalent rights. The same 30-day satisfaction guarantee applies.

Trial cancellation: No charge is applied during the 14-day free trial. You can cancel the trial at any time without consequence.

8. Content ownership and licence

All letters, copy, images, downloadable materials, and intellectual property in the Service ("Content") are owned by DIGITLESS or licensed to us. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Content for your personal, non-commercial use within the couple subscribed to the Service.

You may not:

  • Republish, sell, sublicense, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Content
  • Use automated tools (scrapers, bots) to extract Content
  • Forward letters to third parties on a systematic basis (sharing one letter occasionally with a friend is permitted)
  • Use AmoreLetters content to train AI models without prior written permission

9. User obligations

You agree to:

  • Use the Service in good faith and for its intended purpose (improving your couple relationship)
  • Provide accurate registration information including a valid partner email address
  • Not misuse the Service to harass, mislead, or harm another person
  • Not attempt to access another user's account or our systems
  • Comply with applicable law

You acknowledge that the Service is delivered "as is" and that the effectiveness of the Content depends on your and your partner's engagement and personal circumstances. We make no guarantee of specific relationship outcomes.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) €100.

We are not liable for:

  • Indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages
  • Loss of relationships, emotional distress (except as required by mandatory consumer law)
  • Damages arising from your or your partner's actions or inactions
  • Service interruptions caused by third-party providers (Stripe, PayPal, hosting, email delivery providers)
  • Force majeure events

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence, (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, (c) any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Service availability and changes

We use commercially reasonable efforts to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Email delivery depends on third-party providers (mail servers, inbox filters); we are not liable for letters delivered to spam folders or delayed by third-party providers.

We may modify the Service from time to time. Material changes affecting your subscription will be communicated via email at least 14 days in advance, with the option to cancel without penalty if you do not accept the changes.

12. Updates to these Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be notified by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not accept, you may cancel your subscription without penalty within the 30-day notice period.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:

  • You materially breach these Terms
  • We have reasonable grounds to suspect fraud, harassment, or abuse
  • Required by law or competent authority

In the case of suspension, we will notify you by email with the reason and the steps to remedy, unless immediate action is required for safety or legal reasons. Where reasonable, we refund the unused portion of your subscription.

14. Privacy

Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Italian law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence in the EU/EEA/UK.

For disputes, before initiating any legal action, you agree to attempt resolution by contacting us at disputes@amoreletters.com. We will respond within 14 days.

For consumers resident in the EU, the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

For consumers in the UK, you may also use the relevant alternative dispute resolution body.

For non-consumer disputes that cannot be resolved amicably, exclusive jurisdiction lies with the courts of Rome, Italy.

16. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and DIGITLESS regarding the Service. If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

Specific approval of clauses pursuant to articles 1341 and 1342 of the Italian Civil Code: By accepting these Terms, you specifically approve the following clauses: §6 (automatic renewal), §7 (cancellation and refunds), §10 (limitation of liability), §11 (service availability), §12 (updates to Terms), §13 (suspension and termination), §15 (governing law and jurisdiction).
